People have less 'walking around' money. Couple of years ago it would be no issue to take on say $10,000 in inventory of a new product. However, many companies are just having issue making payroll (especially, shops around Vegas, can't speak for Z1). So I understand if any shop (not just Z1) needs to do a pre-order to get a more costly item to market. I also wouldn't count out the supplier. The product has been made, I'm just guessing the issue is getting it to market (aka shipping). With a sole distributor, TwinZDesign can minimize their overhead by shipping one large batch of parts to Z1. I'm sure if Z1 can't drum up enough interest (pre-orders) then the TwinZDesign will just try direct marketing them at a higher price to make up for shipping.
